Stars of the Midnight Sun Sweater

Woman's Cardigan - Knitting pattern PDF (no physical components are included in this purchase)

I developed this pattern from a traditional star pattern from Hemnesberget Norway, in Nordland.  It is worked in the round, bottom up with steeks.  The body and sleeves are joined to work the yoke.  It has short rows above the neck to make the back neck with improved fit. The only finishing is to sew on the front bands, and kitchener stitch under the arms.  

Complete charts and instructions included for fingering weight yarn.  I used Finullgarn light grey #403 for the background and Kauni 8/2 effekt garn EL 150 “midnight sky” for the color on the body and the background on the yoke. I tell how I worked this sweater to make the colors change at the same levels on the body and sleeves in the pattern.
